Ed Fraiman has 12 years experience directing television drama for the BBC and has also directed a number of shows for US network television.Most recently Ed directed 'Myanmar', the second episode of 'The Philanthropist' for NBC/Universal. The drama stars James Purefoy, Jesse L Martin, Neve Campbell and Michael Kenneth Williams.Other US television credits include 3 episodes of the visual effects drama 'Merlin' for NBC and BBC and 4 episodes of CBS/Paramount's 'Life Is Wild' for the CW Network.UK television credits include the award winning procedural 'Murphy's Law' (BBC), 'A Thing Called Love' (BBC) and the ground-breaking TV hits 'As If' (CH4) and 'Burn It' (BBC). Ed also directed 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' (BBC) which was nominated at the World Television Awards in the category of Best Movie Made For Television.For his feature debut, Ed is attached to direct the movie 'One By One', an edgy thriller based on a story by best-selling UK novelist Simon Kernick. Ed and Paul Stahelli have adapted it for the screen with Jason Newmark at Dan Films producing.Ed trained at the Northern Film School (UK) and went on to receive a scholarship to the acclaimed Polish State Film School where he studied for 2 further years. His student films won a number of international film awards, including Best Short Film at the Rushes Soho Short Film Festival and Gold Plaque at the Chicago International Film Festival.After graduating with an MA in Film Production in 1998, Ed received the coveted Best Newcomer Award from the Directors' Guild of Great Britain.Ed lives in Brentwood, Los Angeles.
